Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. What this is

sponsor.baby is a personal creative project. Companies pay to have their brand name listed on a public leaderboard. The company in first place at the time of birth will be listed as the "current baby name."

This is a joke. Paying does not create any legally binding obligation on the author to name a child after your company. It does not constitute a contract for naming rights. The author makes no representations that any child will be born, or that any name will be used.

Think of it as a novelty sponsorship, not an enforceable agreement.

2. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe and are for a listing on the public leaderboard. Payments are non-refundable. By paying, you are purchasing a ranked position on the sponsor.baby leaderboard, nothing more.

The author reserves the right to remove any listing at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these terms or applicable law.

3. Display name

You may choose a display name for the leaderboard (the "baby name"). This name must not be offensive, defamatory, or violate any third-party rights. The author may change or remove any display name at their discretion.

4. No warranties

This site is provided "as is." The author makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the site will remain online, that rankings will persist indefinitely, or that a baby will ever exist.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author's total liability for any claim arising from this site is limited to the amount you paid in the thirty days preceding the claim.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the author resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
